What age is ideal for starting choristership preparation?
We would usually begin work with them from Yr 2 onwards.
How much time commitment is needed for chorister training?
A little and often is key – from a little as 15 minutes a day.
What resources do you offer for at-home vocal training?
As part of our Pathways, we offer individually-targeted workbooks with suggested for singing exercises, stretches, vocal health tips, repertoire suggestions and more.
Do you offer guidance for complete beginners?
Absolutely. No prior experience is necessary.
What attributes are most important for young choristers?
A passion for singing, a desire to learn, a good ear, and being a team player.
What should we expect from a chorister audition process?
This usually take takes the form of singing a prepared song, followed by some listening tests, and may also include some vocal range exercises or reading at sight.
How can I stay focused and motivated during practice?
Set realistic goals, vary the practice exercises, set aside a regular practice time and stick to it, choose a focus for each session, and track your progress
